The PCB layout
Set up the board for the factory, place the parts, route the tracks and copper zones, draw the board outline, then clean up the silkscreen and pass the design rules check.
Board setup: stackup, solder mask, net classes and placement
KiCadmembersWe bring the parts into the PCB, set the 2-layer stackup, the solder mask, the via and track sizes, then place and align the parts.
4.2Routing, copper zones, vias and the board outline
KiCadmembersWe route the signal tracks, use wider tracks for the LED current, pour a 5 V zone and a ground plane, add vias, then draw the board edge with rounded corners and a mounting hole.
4.3Silkscreen, design rules check and final touches
KiCadmembersWe shrink and place the silkscreen text, run the design rules check and fix it, keep the zone out of one spot with a rule area, and set the drill/place origin.
